Football Mania Again

I was reading the Sports section which featured the world cup in the newspaper the other day.

Then I noticed something.

Here,

Spot the difference!

Netherland's Flag

Serbia and Montenegro's Flag.

How creative!!!

And here's more:

The French Flag

Paraguay's Flag

Costa Rican Flag.

Hmmm...is it because they were all under the same colony?

I don't know.

Maybe they just ran out of colour pencils. And the only ones that were left were the reds, blues and white.

Or

They ran out of brain cells related to creativity.

---------------

WTFish? I almost got rolled over by a friggin baby stroller today!

A Baby Stroller!!!

What is it with Malaysians and going crazy with things that have wheels.

I've seen some "stunts" done by some "pro" drivers in Malaysia. I almost got into an accident with a taxi. (It was his fault ok? He didn't use his signal light and just suddenly deicided to turn without looking to see if I was there). But, this is the first time I experience this IN a shopping complex.

I was minding my own business, walking at a slightly faster than normal pace, when suddenly.

*Screeecchhhhhhhhhh!!*

A mad man came rushing towards me with a baby stroller.

(Ok, I may be exageratting a lil'. But only a lil')

Without warning, I quicken my pace and barely managed to dodge it in time.

Hai sehh.

And that guy didn't even look sorry.

I propose that all shopping complex to have speed limits for baby strollers and guards to enforce that rule.

They should be called, " The Stroller Patrol"

PWEEEETTTTTTTTTTT. *Whistle*

Mam, I believe your baby stroller has just exceeded the limit set by the authorities. Please kindly, slow down your stroller so innocent shoppers can shop without having the fear of being rolled over by a stroller. Thank you.

Ok..I'm so going overboard on this one.

It's not that I'm angry at that guy, because I really am not.

It's the inconsiderate attitude of Malaysians which worries me. This problem isn't getting any better. When was the last time you saw a car slowed down at a zebra crossing to let pedestrians cross the road, EVEN when its raining.

Its just sad to see people's attitude on the road.

Not to say that I'm the perfect driver.

But, everyone can improve.

Right?

Exams Over!!!

*Takes deep breath*

Exams Over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the exam marathon is finally over!!!!!!!!

Good Bye A-Levels!

Bye HELP!

But before I do anything.

Happy Birthday Dad!! (Who 99.9% won't be reading this..)

The 50 year old man.

Half a century guy.

Okok..Back to my A-levels.

So, how did I do?

Ermmm..Ok, I guess

Could I have done better?

Of course I could!!

Any regrets?

Taking Bio??Yeah..Thats one..

Anyways, I'm officially on holidays from now all the way to February next year!! What am I gonna do? Well, for starters, I gotta prepare for my music exam which is on the end of July. Yeah..Another exam. It never ends. So, my teacher is making me practice 3-6 hours a day. Not just that, I've gotta hire this pianist to accompany me which would cost me RM50 per hour. Aduh, my wallet sakit de. And on top of that, my dad agreed to let me have double guitar classes (Which is a good thing!). So, yeah, I'm a busy man.

But I won't be busy for long. 7 freaking months of holiday!!!

What am I gonna do?

(Yeah..I'm in a complain-ny mood today)

I guess I could look for an office job.

Or try to do some projects.

Aiks!

Don't know..

Any suggestions?

Anyone?

Got no Ling Gam to blog now..

Kopitiam

I went to this Kopitiam in Low Yat recently. The food was quite good, the atmosphere was great. They had quite a wide range of food to choose from, which included the normal Nasi Lemak, Chee Cheong Fun and also Roti-bakar-kopitiam-special.

The thing I noticed about this place was that they like to do thing differently.

Lets that their beverage menu as an example,

  1. Teh Ping. (Normal what....)
  2. Kopi Ping Special (Oooo..special..How can you go wrong with specials..)
  3. And last but not least, Kopi soya-cino Ping.

WTFish????

Kopi+Soya+Cuppacino?? plus -Ping some more?

You know, I've heard of soya+cincau and even Cuppacino+soya.

But all 3 together??

Well, 2 can play that game..

Me : Waiter, I would like a Kopi-Soya-Cino-C-Special-Kurang-Manis-Gau-Kosong-Tarik-Ping, Tambah Limau.

Lol.

But I didn't want to get kicked out of the shop, so I ended up with just Kopi special ping.

--------------

EDIT : Have a safe trip to Australia Lizze!!!!!!

Again, I've been reminded of what great friends I have.

I may not be the world smartest person, nor the world's best looking guy.

I may not be the richest person on earth.

But Damn!! I have great friends!!!

Hence, I'm the luckiest person in the world.

I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for you guys.

A-Levels Update

Yes. Another entry on my exams.

When is it ever gonna end?

Anyways, all my papers were ok so far. With the exception of Bio W2 of course.

Alot of stuff have been happening during my exam so far.

First of all, Chemistry Practical Paper 6:

There was this experiment wher we were supposed to conduct this flame test using a inoculating loop.

What's an inoculating loop you might ask.

Here's one :

Yeah..I happily took my inoculating loop and went all the way to the fume cupboard.

I was about to dip my Inoculating loop into some Hydrochloric acid when I suddenly realised something wasn't right.

I look down at my right hand and discovered that there was no freaking loop on my inoculing loop!!

Yes, so basically I just carried my inoculating loop's handle all the way to the fume cupboard.

Boy did I look stupid.

But then again, its not my fault they gave me that defective inoculating loop.

And then on monday I had Chemstry unit 5. I arrived in college around 30 minutes before the exam. I thought I was gonna be late because I usually arrive 1 or 2 hours before the exam. Rushed all the way up to the 9th floor. Searched for my name to find my seat. But after a while, I realised it wasn't there. Called Michelle to ask her where our exam was. Found out that it was on the 6th floor. Decided to take the stairs because it was faster.

When I reached the 6th floor, I gave a thug on the door knob expecting the door open.

But instead...Well, let my photos tell the story :

The "Door"

And,

The "Door Knob"

Darn. This HAS to happen on the 6th floor and not on any other floor.

Anyways, I went another floor down and met the other Michelle and then took the lift up.

And in almost all of my papers, I had the 'privilege" to get the seat right beneath the air con.

It's like the teachers had this secret meeting and all decided that they will freeze me to death by putting me right underneath the air con.

The conversation would probably be something like this:

Teacher A : So, Jo-Shua's taking Chem 5 today eh? Which class?

Teacher B : Room 6.3

Teacher A : Oh wonderful! I know exactly which seat he can have so that he can the full blast of cold air.

Teacher B : Great! I'll go ask them to turn up the air con right away!

Ok, I'm going overboard on this.

But I think the most stupid thing I did was to not bring a sweater to college at all.

Darn it. Stupid Male-ego..

So yeah, my fingers were practically numb after the my exam.

And it took me about 30 minutes to de-numb my fingers.

Kinda reminds me of the times I had in Kasturi.

Poor me...

Platypus Shoes

Weird Gadgets :

Introducing,

Fivefinger from Vibram USA!

Appear in one of these in your next class and scare the crap out of the person sitting next to you!!

Kinda makes you look like some frozen platypus eh?

"Here’s a pair of shoes that will no doubt draw stares. Fivefingers from Vibram USA are supposed to give you some sort of a thrill, as if your feet are naked but they’re still protected. The Vibram website lists all kinds of pseudo-therapeutical horseshit about why the shoes are oh-so-much better, but we’re thinking the main reason they’re better is because they will line the coffers of those who are selling them.

A positive attribute is the way these “foot coverings” are good for wearing in the water, or through rocky streams, where their sticky soles will protect your feet while adding traction. But is it us, or do these just make it look like you have big, ugly, blue/gray/yellow feet? Available in four colors, they’re $70. "

So what are you waiting for? Throw away those ugly looking Hush Puppies and NIKE shoes and get one of the Platypus shoes now.

Last night's match :

England 2 - Trinidad and Tobago 0

My dad was telling me how the English players have all these fancy moves in football, but they don't really produce many goals.

After some really good dribbling past the defenders, you expect them get a goal.

But, Nooo...They have to miss at the very crucial moment.

Its like when you make all thisweird faces like you gonna bomb the toilet (i.e Zhar Dong Geng)..again, ifyouknowwhatImean..Your face turns red then purple. You sweat is dripping down your cheek like a waterfall. You make this all funny kinds of noises like those pregnant ladies who are just about to give birth. You feel as if you are about to faint..

And when you think a BIG one is gonna come out.

POOOFFFFF!!!!!!

Only air comes out.

You expect a big bomb, but all you get is a lousy fart.

Darn...so Disappointing..

Football Mania Part 3

Football, the game where 22 sweaty men run around a big field chasing a ball without using their hands.

Its amazing how football turned out to be one of the greatest games on earth!

Anyways, the world cup had an explosive start with the opening match where Germany took on Costa Rica. Well, I was feeling kinda sorry for because they had to face such a powerful opponent in their opening game so I was supporting them all the way. Costa Rica is such a small country, it wouldn't do any harm just to let them win or draw their opening match against Germany. Give them something to be happy about laa.. So they can Samba day and night.

But alas, Germany was too strong and way ahead of Costa Rica.

Final score : Germany 4 - Costa Rica 2

I truly enjoyed this match. Mostly because the Germans played a great game. Their defence was solid, though careless mistakes do happen once in a while.

Germany's looking strong this year.

And then on Tuesday there was ,

Japan Vs Australia :

The cute little Hello Kitty (Japan)

Vs

Funny Koala Bear dude from "The Wild"(Aussie)

Didn't really know who to suppport because:
  1. I wanted the Asian team to make it to the next round
  2. But I also wanted Australia to win because its their very first appearance in the World Cup
  3. Both teams are probably gonna be destroyed by the Brazil team anyways, so a win for either country would be nice.

So the game started out quite well with both teams attacking like there's no tomorrow.

By the first half, Japan was leading by 1-0

And Japan was still leading by 1-0 all the way till the 80th minute .

And then all of a sudden, Australia made a comeback and managed to put the ball into the back of Japan's net not once, or twice ,

But 3 times!!!

Bye bye Hello Kitty!!

3 goals in 8 minutes!!

WOW!!

I think the Australians managed to out-play the Japanese throughout the last 8 minutes because the Japanese were exhausted by that time.

Final score : Australia 3 - Japan 1

What a great way to start the world cup! And the 2nd round hasn't even started!!!

I gotta stop watching football matches till so late at night.

If not I'll get panda eyes and I'll have to join this family:

And this,

Picture Imperfect Me

My internet connection is getting worse. Took me almost 15 minutes to get to the "Create Post" section of blogger. And its taking an insanely long time to load photos. Stupid connection.

Anyways, here's a compilation of HELP's A44 Group A++

I didn't edit this one if you are wondering why there are many hearts in the picture. Looks like a girl's work. And its editted by none other than, Michelleieee Yewieeee Yeeieeeee Sanieeeeee

And here's the link to the her original post :

http://www.tabulas.com/~PePp3rMiNt/1220121.html#comment

I must say, Good Job Michelleieeee..

Can't find me in the picture?

No prob, I'll circle them out.

So basically I took the few photos which I'm not in (The green arrows). Thus, I'm indirectly in almost every photo..Muahahahaha

And then I noticed something.

Lots of objects/heads/stuff happen to be in front of my face when I take a photo. Hence blocking my face. Hmmmm....

Here's proof :

Am I right or am I right?

Here's another,

Can't find me in this photo?

That's because I'm here,
Those are my ears. Hahaha

Actually, I was happily standing there until seconds before the photo was taken, Jin Wei (the guy in blue) suddenly carried Steph (The girl standing next to him) thus blocking me. Haha..Malangnya..

And I'm blocked by Wee Bing in this one

Blocked by a Burette.

See my point?

Or is it blocked by another bottle/head/burette ?

BTW, its not that I want to be in lots of photos.

I rather not.

Its just that I find it funny that whatever picure taken with me in it sure has something blocking me.

Or is it just my mind playing tricks on me?

P.S : I'm having lots of trouble loading pictures on blogger. After loading 4 photos, blogger refuses to load anymore..hmmmm...I think I'll grow old before I can finish uploading the next photo..

The DaVinci Code

The DaVinci code, the movie that has so many twists in the plot that it makes the Twister look like some seaside breeze.

Warning, Spoilers Ahead! Don't read it if you don't want to be spoiled!

Oh What the heck?? Who hasn't been spoiled anyway? I can bet you that even those roti canai sellers know about the plot.

(Ok, I may be exagerating a lil' )

And here's the link to something funny, (Just in case you have not seen it)

http://syfc.org.sg/events/dvc/cinema.html

Before the movie, Kuan Kit passed me my movie ticket with this voucher attached to it : Wow! A RM 50 voucher for a RM 8 movie ticket? How in the world do these people survive?

Well, apparently, THIS is how:
And this,

Oh Boy, what a deal! RM 50 voucher for a RM6K watch!

At first, I didn't want to watch the movie because it has some controversial issues concerning the foundations of the church and basically christianity. But then Yih Hon reminded me that it our duty as good christians to at least know or watch the movie or read the book so that we will be equipped with enough knowledge to tackle any questions asked by non-christians concerning the church.

So, the show basically TRIES to follow the book closely. Some people told me that the movie is on the slow side but I thought the pace was not as bad as what people have said. This movie is about puzzle-solving and cracking codes and not some kind of action movie so the pace of the movie is forgivable. But I did like the added Hollywood special effects here and there.

The thing I didn't like about the show was Tom Hanks acting. He got this forever-bored look throughout the entire movie! I thought he could have done a much better job considering how well he did in "The Terminal". A little more facial expression could have gone a long way. I mean, practically the whole of France + the police was after him, and he could still look so calm and collected. I feel as if I'm looking at some cyborg acting as Robert (Ok, maybe that's a bit too harsh)

Sophie Neveu (yay!) on the other hand didn't really help Robert much in this movie. She was potreyed as more smarter person in the book. But all she does stand there and look pretty.

Oh wait a minute, isn't that what girls are meant for? to stand there and look pretty?

(Aww, I'm so gonna get beaten up after this entry)

Come on! She's supposed to be a genius at cracking codes and solving puzzles.

And another thing I found out while watching the movie is that the Priory of Sion is actually the Priory of Scion in Malay. Malay subtitles in cinemas are always so entertaining!

But probably not as entertaining as the translation for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Harry Potter dan Gelas Berapi. And also Star Wars III : Revenge of the Sith - Star Wars III : Balas Dendam Sith.

Ok, so my rating is :

For people who have NOT read the book :One and a half thumb up!

For people who have read the book : One Thumb up!

And of course, everything in the movie/book is not real. Don't belive me? Go to MPH and look for the book and check which section is it in. The "Fiction" section? You got that right!

So what I've learnt from this movie is that some movies can be decievingly entertaining.

P.S : Sophie's Driving = Ownage!!!

Football Mania Part 2

Here's some thing you wished you didn't know:

Do you remember the time where there was this exciting football match, where the game went goal-less for almost the whole game. So, you decided that its ok to take a quick trip to the toilet. But while you are away, everyone started screaming, "GOALLLLLLLLL!!!"

With this revolutionary equipment, you can't keep all your plastic bottles (I don't think I need to explain why, right?) and never miss a goal even in the Gents.

Introducing:

Pee Goal!!

A trip to the gents may be relieving but now it can be exciting as well. With the new Pee Goals, you can practice your aim and you might even score.

On a more practical note, the base of the pee goal protects the urinal from becoming blocked with cigarette butts or any other unwanted objects. It's easy to clean and the base can be trimmed if necessary to fit any size of urinals. Break the seal and score a hatrick, a wee bit of fun.

Who wants to be the Goal-keeper?

-----------

I saw this advertistment in the newspaper the other day,

48 Million Football Fans,

1 Country,

1 Passion,

Live the passion, visit Korea.

Ermm, looks like someone's still living in the year 2002.

------------

Since Malaysia isn't in the World Cup this year (Again), I'll be supporting these teams :
  1. Italy
  2. Japan
  3. South Korea (But I don't think they will make it pass the quater-finals though)
  4. And of course, Spain!

However I don't think any of these teams will make it to the finals. But then again anything can happen... Anything.....

Japan and S. Korea purely because they are the 2 Asian teams that at least have a chance of making it to the 2nd round. Go Asia!

Don't know why, but I don't really want to support the Germans. The last time I went into a German restaurant here, they over-charged me. (RM 30 for some very tiny sausage..Haihhh) So, Germany is off the list..Nyahaha

IQ Questions

You guys know how much I like solving Logic Puzzles/Brain Teasers right?

Oh, you don't?

Well, now you do!

So, I'll be posting some IQ questions at the beginning of each month from now onwards. And I'll link the post with the questions on my blog's sidebar so you guys can look up the questions anytime.

Here's some easy questions to get your brain working, something my brain hasn't been doing since my "holidays" started.

Enjoy:

1) Question : A man says, "Brothers and sisters, have I none, but that man's father is my father's son.Who is he pointing at? (Submitted by pjjnuni)

And here's another pretty standard question you can find anywhere

2) Question : Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person.

Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totalling $27. The bellboy has $2, totalling $29.

Where is the remaining dollar?

And here's a "Zhar-Dou" type of question.

3) Question : The Mississippi River is the dividing line between Tennessee and Arkansas. If an airplane crashed exactly in the middle of the Mississippi River there, where would the survivors be buried?

Ok, have I got your brains all worked up?

Here comes a harder one, created by none other than our favourite smarty pants with white bushy hair, Mr Einstein.

4) Question :

There are 5 houses in 5 different colours. In each house lives a person of a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. Using the clues below can you determine who owns the fish?

The Brit lives in a red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
The green house owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the house right in the middle drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes Blend lives next door to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next door to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbour who drinks water.

And here's a cool one!

(I got this from Blueserver Forum. Submitted by a guy called jokergodlike )

5) Question : Why is there an extra square?

Take out our calculators and do your brain a favour!

Go on, try it out!

You know you want to.

Yih Hon a.k.a Marcuz will give you a prize if you get all of them correct!

------------

Ok, I just finished my Bio 03 paper!! It went quite well. But it was really a race against time to answer all the questions in the amount of time given.

Well, there was this qustion about Perwinkles.

Now, when I say perwinkles what do you think of?

Some fluffy white bunny in some grassland ya?

Actually its some ugly looking algae-eating organism that only eats certain species of algae called enteromorpha.

Didn't know that?

Well, neither did I.

So, you still think Edexcels' London A-levels is much easier than Cambridge's?

I think not!

We have at least 6 papers for each subject, and for you to get an "A", you need to at least need to score 80 and above for EVERY single paper. Unless of course you are super genius named Wei Ping who scored 100% for 11 out of 16 papers.

Football Mania!

The World's Greatest Football Show Is In Less Than A Week!!!

*Grabs Jerseys and footballs + banners and sits in front of the TV then waits for World Cup to start*

Since when have I become such a big football fan?

Since the time I almost died of boredom of course!

I've been diagnosed and confirmed to have a severe case of Boring-gitis, Meningitis distant cousin.

Oh crap, I'm crapping like some wierd crap.

Crap-tastic!

Ok, let me tell you a story of a guy I know from Australia who is now working in Japan.

On the 19th of June, Australia will be playing against Japan. So, who shall he suppport? Japan, ( So, that he won't be beaten up by *cough* his colleagues.*ahem ahem*), or Australia (Its his home country). And he can't really support Australia because he's now in Japan surrounded by Japanese Football fanatics. In other words, he's behind enemy lines.

So, he came up with a brilliant plan.

First he wears his Australia Jersey and then slip on his Japan football Jersey over it. Now only his Aussie Jersey is visable. So, when he watches the match with his Japanese friends he can cheer for Japan.

But when Australia scores a goal, he can do the Superman impersonation,

Off goes the Japan Jersey. And,

"GOAALLLLL!!Take that!!Muahahahaha!"

Ok, I totally made that last part up. But the rest of it is real.

-------

I was browsing through YOU Tube, and found this,

My first reaction was, "%^*&^%$#@&*!!! That sounds exactly like Jason Mraz!!!!" *grumbles*

I'm sure Jez would love this!!

Enjoy!

------

Wierd Conversation of The Day:

Me : Who do you think will win the World Cup this year?

Dad : I think Germany because they are hosting the World Cup. And usually the host will win the World Cup.

Me : It's like how France won in 1998 when they hosted the World Cup right?

Dad : Yeahh

*Silence*

Me : What if Malaysia host the World Cup one day. Would they win?

*Turns and looks at each other*

*Burst into uncontrollable fits of laughter*
