I Have a Dream

*Reads Title*

Yeah,

I've been having wierd dreams lately.

Nope, Its not bad dreams where there's a scary monster chasing you.

And no, its not some wet dreams.

Its those frustrating dreams that repeats itself over and over again which make you feel uneasy all day long.

And its those type of dreams that makes you think :

"Hmmmm, this may mean something" and,

"Ohhh!! this the sign!! Go for it!!!", but also

"Nahhh!!!.It can't be..it's just a dream" at the same time.

(Confused? So am I!)

Eventhough you try to flush it out off your head.

But it still keeps coming back.

Is it a sign? Is there some meaning to it?

But first, what is a dream?

A dream is the experience of envisioned images, voices, or other sensations during sleep . Dreams often portray events which are impossible or unlikely in reality, and are usually outside the control of the dreamer, (although some people have reported lucid dream, realizing or recognizing a reoccuring dream while they are 'in it', and then altering its reality: flying, or other supernatural feats). Many people report experiencing strong emotions while dreaming, and frightening or upsetting dreams are referred to as nightmares. The scientific discipline of dream research is orneiroglogy

Dreams have a long history both as a subject of conjecture and as a source of inspiration (artistic or otherwise). Throughout history, people have sought meaning in dreams. They have been described physiological as a response to neural processes during sleep, psychologically as reflections of the unconcious, and spiritually as messages from God or predictions of the future

(Obtained from Wikipedia)

Hmmmm..psychologically as reflections of the unconcious eh??

I don't know.

Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

Sometimes when I'm ask to make a descision, I answer "No"

But maybe somewhere deep down my sub-concious mind what I really want to answer is "Yes"

Aaaaaaa

I just want some good sleep.

Woohoo!

Congrats Congrats!!!

Why am I congratulating myself??

Hehe

Long Live joshuahum.blogspot.com !!!

Man Sui, Man Sui, Man Man Sui!!!

Went to Yih Hon's house last wednesday night. Started to play Lemonade Tycoon 2 on Yih Hon's Laptop. And after 15 minutes, I was addicted and couldn't stop playing it.

Its kinda annoying how all these tycoon games are super addictive. It just sucks your life right out of you.

Anyways, here's what you are supposed to do it the game.

You start off with one lemonade stand.

You fool around with the price
and recipe of the lemonade to earn some money,

And with that money, you
buy some more lemonade to sell,

And then when you have more money, you
buy bigger lemonade stall.

Why?

So, you can sell more lemonade of course!

Then repeat.

Again,

Again,

and Again..

Its a really boring cycle.

Or rather, the downward spiral of doom.

But then again, don't we all face the same thing in real life.

We live, so we study

We study so we can find a job.

We find a job so that we can get money,

We get money so that we can eat,

We eat so that we can live,

And then, we live so that we can work.

Ohhhhh...

The Harsh Reality of Life!

Btw, does anyone know any good cures for ulcers? I've got a really bad one now.

Zidane

Read this article :

Zidane apologizes for violent conduct during World Cup final, says Materazzi insulted his family
By ANGELA DOLAND, Associated Press Writer

PARIS (AP) -- An apology, but no regrets and no detailed explanation on what set him off.
That's where French soccer star Zinedine Zidane left things Wednesday during widely broadcast television interviews that attempted to decipher his ugly head-butting of an Italian opponent during the World Cup final.

He did say he was spurred by cruel insults to his mother and sister. But the exact exchange between France's captain and Marco Materazzi remains a mystery. Zidane never was specific about what enraged him. So, for the moment, the words stay between them.

"I would rather have taken a punch in the jaw than have heard that," he told the Canal-Plus television network, stressing that Materazzi's language was "very harsh," and that he uttered the insults several times.

In his first public comments since Sunday's match, Zidane repeatedly apologized to fans -- especially to children. But he said he didn't regret the abrupt, violent outburst that marked the end of his illustrious 18-year professional career.

"I tell myself that if things happened this way, it's because somewhere up there it was decided that way," the 34-year-old midfielder said in an interview on TF1 television. "And I don't regret anything that happened, I accept it."

Zidane and Materazzi exchanged words after Italy broke up a French attack in extra-time. Seconds later, Zidane lowered his head and rammed Materazzi in the chest, knocking him to the ground.
Zidane was sent off, reducing France to 10 men. Italy went on to win in a penalty shootout with Zidane in the locker room.

The act of aggression marred the end of the World Cup, with many warning it would tarnish the legacy of Zidane, who retired after the tournament.

Wednesday, he stressed he felt no regret "because that would mean (Materazzi) was right to say all that."

"There was a serious provocation," Zidane said. "My act is not forgivable. But they must also punish the true guilty party, and the guilty party is the one who provokes."

For days, sports fans around the world have been riveted by the question: What could Materazzi have said to set Zidane off in the last few moments of his illustrious, 18-year career? Media from Brazil to Britain hired lip readers to try to figure it out, then came up with different answers.

Materazzi has acknowledged he insulted Zidane, without giving specifics. At nearly the same moment Zidane was on TV, excerpts from a Materazzi interview were posted on an Italian paper's Web site. He denied insulting Zidane's mother.

"I didn't say anything to him about racism, religion or politics," Materazzi told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I didn't talk about his mother, either. I lost my mother when I was 15, and even now I still get emotional talking about her."

Zidane "has always been my hero," Materazzi said. "I admire him a lot."

Materazzi spoke to Zidane in Italian. Zidane, who played several years for Juventus in Turin, speaks Italian.

Despite the head-butt, Zidane was awarded the Golden Ball award for best player at the World Cup -- though FIFA president Sepp Blatter has suggested Zidane could be stripped of the honor.

"The winner of the award is not decided by FIFA, but by an international commission of journalists," Blatter said in Italian newspaper La Repubblica. "That said, FIFA's executive committee has the right, and the duty, to intervene when faced with behavior contrary to the ethics of the sport."

FIFA's disciplinary committee opened an inquiry Tuesday into Zidane's behavior. His red card was not unusual: Zidane was sent off 14 times in his career at the club and international level.

Despite his temper, Zidane is better known for his sportsmanship and dancer-like technique. He is a national hero for the French and a symbol of a young, multicultural France. Born to Algerian immigrants, Zidane grew up playing on concrete in an impoverished neighborhood of Marseille.

President Jacques Chirac has had only kind words for Zidane since the match -- reassuring him that France still "admires and loves him." Many in France already have pardoned Zidane: A poll published Tuesday in Le Parisien newspaper showed 61 percent of the 802 people questioned forgave Zidane.

Zidane said many people have asked him not to retire, but he said he would not change his mind.

"I won't go back on it, at least I hope so. ... It's definitive," he said.

Zidane told TF1 television he was "going to rest, and then move on to something else."

AP Sports Writer Andrew Dampf in Rome contributed to this report.

----------

Ok, for those lazy people out there who didn't actually read the whole thing, we can almost confirm that Zidane did what he did because he was insulted by Materazzi. (So I guess my "Zidane-headbutt-coz-he-wants-to-go-Bang-Sai" theory is proven wrong eh?) . And he apologizes for his outrage but still didn't regret what he did. Which makes me wonder how sorry can he feel.

He practically took Materazzi down because of an insult. But you know whats the real problem here? Little kids and teenagers everywhere (Especially in France) would have watched or at least heard of the Zidane incident. And Zidane is not just some ordinary footballer who gets a red card and everyone forgets about him. He's the super star player for France for goodness sakes. All the kids look up to him. By doing that, some kid fans would think that its ok to headbutt anyone who insults your family.

This match has been watched by billions of people all around the world. And while people like us would have gone "WTFish??" after witnessing that, other kids might be thinking "WOW..So that what you do when someone insults you eh??? You can headbutt someone, get a red card and STILL get the Golden Ball Award and be treated like a Hero!'

So, the next time before you go beating someone up for insulting you, take a few seconds to just stop and think.

In other words, use your head la!

Of course, I'm sure Zidane heard that little voice asking him to use his head.

And He did!

Literally

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Now, the world is gonna be filled with lil' kids headbutting people.

HEY!!! This is my 99th post on this blog!! The next would mark my 100th post!

Conspiracy

There's been many theories on why Zidane Headbutt Materazzi.

Some say he lost his temper,

Some say he was bribed,

Some say Materazzi provoked him,

Some say the match was fixed,

BUT

Here' the REAL reason why :

(Drum roll please..)

Zidane Headbutt Materazzi and go sent out because

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

He wanted to Bang Sai (Shit) , and couldn't tahan till after extra time to do it.

So the easiest way was to get a red card so he could rush to the toilet afterwards.

And since he was holding it in for 109 minutes, his brain couldn't work properly and decided the easiest way to get a red card was to whack someone. And poor Materazzi was the nearest.

So...

Hahahaha

Zhar Dou.

Told Zidance NOT to eat those French Toast..

They were expired..

And Moldy..

(Got this Idea from Wee Beng)

Football Mania Finals

Muahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!

World Cup Finals :

ITALY WON ON PENALTIES 5-3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE WORLD CUP IS NOW IN THE ITALIAN'S HANDS!!!

4 TIMES WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!

After a heart-stopping penalty by Zidane on the 7th minute and a stunning header by Materazzi on th 19th, both teams were tied at 1-1 for the rest of the 90 minutes.

Both teams were equally good and were attacking alot.

Everything was fine and dandy until the 119th minute, just 11 minutes before extra time ended,

Zidane lost his temper and intentionally sank his botak head deep into the Italian's Materazzi chest like the juggernaut in X-men.

Or in other words, Zidane Headbutt Materazzi.

And Obviously got a red card for that

WTFish?

All my respect for him practically disappeared because of that one incident.

How can such a good player like Zidane do such a thing?

Its Absurd, Outragous, Insane, Preposterous, Ridiculous, Unreasonable and downright UNBELIEVABLE.

Whats worse is that he still got the FIFA World Cup Golden Ball Award after that monstrous act.

Why did he do that?

Is it because Materazzi said something so bad that he lost his temper?

Or is it because his French Toast got moldy.

Either way, the Italians still deserved to win based on the penalty shoot outs.

Sure, the Italian got lucky on some occasions. But they still played a good game and came a long way to be able to hold up the World Cup with pride! Though Totti didn't live up to my expectations. Instead, it was the Italian Goalkeeper, Buffon who suprised me with a superb save to stop Zidane's attempt to snatch the World Cup away from the Italians. His quick reactions and strategic position ultimately helped Italy inch their way towards the World Cup.

This World Cup Finals was filled with drama, action, suspense, unexpected twists which made it more enjoyable compared to the 2002 World Cup where Brazil beat Germany 2-0.

Football Mania Pre-Finals

Wahahahahaha...I told you so..

  • Here

  • Italy made it to the finals!!

Yeah!!! I knew Italy could do it!! They even beat the Germans on the way!!(Again, I told you so!)

So, this year's World Cup finals will be a match between:

    The Italian Pasta,

    And the French Toasts.
And I guess everybody knows who I will be rooting for.

But before that, the 3rd place match will be between,

    The German Franfurkters

    And the Portuguese Eggtarts.

(Yeah, I'm really hungry right now. All I'm thinking about is food!!)

I wonder when our Malaysian Roti Canai will shine?

Anyways, my favourite player in the World Cup this year are :

    Cristiano Ronaldo!

Man, can this guy run. Eventhough he did not score many goals, but he still helped alot in the England Vs Portugal match. And with his speed, he can out-run almost anybody. Just so nice to watch.Totti from Italy!

Waa, this guy's passes are just so nice. This dude really contributed to his team and made it possible for Italy to make it to the finals.

World Cup Finals is on Monday early morning. And I'll be one of the few billion people watching it.

    All About MP3

Woohoo!! Just got my new MP3 player!!!

Introducing the newest member to my family of gadgets:

    Creative MuVo S200!

    Everybody, meet Mp3 Player!

Mp3 Player, meet HP compaq nx 7010 laptop, O2 Xphone II etc etc..

I think my whole family is going Mp3 crazy.

First, my dad bought a Samsumg YP-F1 (512mb version) for himself:

Before redeeming a sony Mp3 player for my sis :

So, I was one happy guy! Testing out the various MP3 players. Tinkering with the settings, pushing the oh-so-nice-too-press-buttons, swaping ear phones, transfering stuff etc. I think its quite hard to understand, but to me, fooling around with gadgets is fun!

    And with 3 Mp3 players!

    Hoho!!!

Its like a kid who just found a fountain flowing with endless supply of orange juice!

So I'm gonna give my opinions on these 3 Mp3 players.

    Firstly, the Samsung YP-F1

The first thing that struck me with this MP3 player is that it looks great! It can be used as a fashion accessory without looking too geeky. I mean, you can wear it around your neck and not worry of people giving you "that" look. For a RM 400 Mp3 player, the sound is great. In fact, I think the the sound is the best among all 3. You can really hear the "Dumm Chkk, Dumm Chkkkk" and "Booms" from the bass. The sound is clean. Mostly because the ear phone that came with the unit is the best compared to the other 2. Its light, pretty, sounds great, fashionable, almost everything you would want in a MP3 player.

The only downside is the price and its capacity.

    RM 400 for a 512mb player?

Aduh. My Creative one was RM 300 for a 1Gb player!!

Price and capacity aside, this is one fantastic player. Get your lazy bums off that chair, stop reading my blog and go get one for yourself. NOW!

Best for people who don't listen to much music but like a good sound without spending another RM 50-100 for a good earphone.

    Next up : Sony NW-E002

Well, this is one small MP3 player. If you drop it in the cinema, you'll probably never see it ever again. Very easy to misplace it. And the fact it doesn't have a hoop for your neck strag doesn't help. If you can't hang it around your neck, you'll probably put it in your pocket. And it being such a tiny and light MP3 player, you'll probably have a tough time looking for it. Did I mention that this thing is super light? I bet it weighs about half a feather. It has 1Gb of space which is just about enough for me, because I just transfer the songs I like and not the entire album. The sound is so-so. Though sometime the sound tends to abit blur.

So, for a MP3 that cost RM 0 because my dad used up his HSBC points to redeem this, it an ok MP3. But the thing that makes this player different than the rest is that it takes only 1 hour to charge for 28 hours of songs!

    Whoahh! Thats fast!

Its like the Ferrari of MP3 players!

Last but not certaintly not the least : MY Creative MuVo S200

For a Mp3 that has a capacity of 1Gb which only cost you RM300, its a great deal! (Yeah, I know some "Chap-Pe-Lang" Chee Cheong Kai Mp3 costs much cheaper. But for value for money without compromising sound quality, the Creative MuVo S200 its still a good buy. Due to the fact that the flash memory (Those used in MP3 players such as this one) dropped alot, all the Creative players has become really cheap.

Yeah, I know this is not your Ipod Video/Ipod Nano/Creative Zen/Rio/Iriver mp3 players which have 30Gb of memory. But I don't really need that much space and I rather spend the money on other stuff. And the sound quality of the players isn't much different than the Ipod. Sure, the scroll wheel of the Ipod is really nice to play with and the white Ipod make you wanna drool everytime you look at it. But, the MP3 player usually stays in your pocket or bag so you won't be able to see it much anyways.

The the PLED orange display is just so nice to look at! Makes you wanna turn up and down the volume just so you can see the nice orange light.

There are 2 minor things I don't like about this player.

First of all the ear phone that came with this is bad! The quality is way poorer than theother players. So, you've gotta spend some more money getting a good ear phone for some good music blasting. Which makes you spending about RM400 instead on this player.

The other thing is that the bass isn't all that great. I like big "booms" in my music. And this player doesn't deliver as much as I'd expected it to. Maybe because its because of the ear phones. I don't know. (Yeah, I know I have fussy ears and they are hard to please)

Other than that, the music is clear, just the way I like it.

For an affordable MP3 with good music quality and so-so battery life, the Creative MuVo S200 is a must!

Ok, so now for the ratings:

    For sound :

    Samsung > Creative >Sony

    For Price :

    Creative > Sony + Samsung

    For Looks :

    Samsung = Creative > Sony

Oh ya, Samsung and Creative's player look so much nicer! And its because their shiny! And guys like anything thats shiny!

    Look a cars!

    So Shiny!

    Handphones?

    Shiny too!

    Cool new sunglasses?

    Shiny!

So the Oh-So-Shiny factor puts Samsung and Creative way ahead of Sony.

In the end, I can't really rank one player above the other because they all are meant for different purposes, to serve different people who have different tastes.

For the Samsung, its more like a fashion item that plays good music.

For Sony, its for people who want fast charging or long battery life.

For Creative, its for people like me who don't wnat to spend RM 1k for an MP3 player but still get a good quality MP3 player.

    -----------

Its kinda stressful blogging with blogspot. I took me almost 1 hour to get to edit my current entry. And sometimes WHILE blogging, blogspot suddenly just redirects me to some page that saying there's some error. Needless to say, loading photos unto blogger is worse. Gotta rely on photobucket now.

Haihhh..Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

    Weekend

Wow. Had a great weekend!! Who says holidays are meant to be boring.

On friday, woke up at around 8.45am for the first time in the holidays to go have Dim Sum all the way in Seapark. So, Wee Beng drove us all the way there for some a really nice breakfast.

    The food was ok.

Can't say much about the egg tarts though.

    Observe :
A big crater in the middle of the egg tart.

Zhar dou..I bet that's at least worth 50 cents.

Later, I went to Mid Valley for a while to buy some stuff. And in the evening, met up with Yih Hon + Bball gang in Danau Idaman for a great bball game.

Eveything was fine. Everyone was having fun.

Until..The security guard suddenly approached us and asked us to leave because he said the residents complained that we made too much noise worrrrr.....

I mean its Bball!! How not to make noise?

Anyways, we didn't want to get a perma ban from Danau Idaman so we decided to play in the park opposite Sri Neelas.

Which actually wasn't a very good idea because the lights were not on. So we practically had to guess were the ball was heading.

And our bball game turned into dodgeball instead.

You won't know whens the next time the ball is headed straight to your face because it was so dark.

At around 10.45pm, dodgeball ended and almost the whole bball gang made our way to Sri Neelas to catch the Germany Vs Argentina game. Bumped into alot of people I haven't seen in a very long time. There was Chee Keong, Jia Wei, Lynett, Charn Long, Suk Kwan etc. Oh ya, did I mention Jia Wei came along with us? Haha, haven't seen her very often ever since she left for Germany then Australia.

We had like, so many glasses of drinks.

The 1st half of the match was pretty boring. Both sides weren't really attacking much. But by the time it got into the 2nd half, I was at the edge of my seat all the way till the extra time. Argentina's beautiful goal was equalised by the germans only in the last 10 minutes. Half the time I thought Argentina was going to make it to the next round.

And then the game went into Extra time and later on, penalty shoot-outs.

The German's goal keeper was really good and kept the pressure on Argentina's side.

End score : Penalty shoot-outs 4-2 . The Germans made it to the semis.

Both teams played a great game and both deserved to win. But there can only be one winner.

On, saturday I went to get my Mp3 player (will blog about it another time). And went to play bball/street soccer on Sunday again.

All in all, I had a really great weekend.
