I Can't Think of a Better Title

Aiks!! Didn't update my blog these few days because I've been stuck in front of the TV watching "LOST". Its a great series!!! Its about the survivors of a terrible plane crash, who find themselves stranded on a tropical island with seemingly little chance of a rescue. But everything is not as it seems, as the island offers potential danger in the form of a large, mysterious creaturem and evidence is found that plane crash may not have been an accident.

Yeahhh...I'm addicted to it!!!!!

Anyways, Biology class yesterday was pretty interesting. We learnt about species that cross-breed with another type of species. Eventhough their off-springs are infertile, but they come up with pretty creative names for the anyway.

Ok, a few examples :

Horse + Donkey = Mule (Sounds familiar??)

Lion + Tiger = Liger!!!!

Whale + Dolphin = Yup!!!! You guessed it!!! A WOLPHIN!!!!

And the best of all...

The Malaysian Zoo Negara Version,

Brought to you by none other than yours truly:

The Seledang + Lembu

.

.

.

.

And you've got yourself a SELEMBU!!

Here's something more interesting:

In the 1500s

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof. Hence the saying . It's raining cats and dogs

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

(That one is really Zhar Dou looo... Nothing to say..)

England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, saved by the bell. or was considered a ...dead ringer..

( 1 out of 25!!!! Walao...thats quite a high chance of you waking up in a coffin one day..)

Yup, interesting eh?????

Whoever said history was boring??

Those Were The Days

Short entry today...
Cute picture of a dog from one of the beauty salons in Taman Desa for you girls out there!! I forgot what type of dog it is. But I know its hair will grow REALLY long..If you look carefully, the owner even has to tie the dog's hair up to prevent it from covering its face..

Doesn't it kinda reminds you of this :

Ye old Kung Fu Master From Kill Bill.

Anyways, today is the first day of college for those A47 (March intake 2006) people from HELP.

And they were all crowding outside our chemistry class, just waiting to come in. There was this one kid that came into our class asking whether we were the March intake..

Yeahhhh!!!Sure we are the March intake students

Man Sui!!!

MY LAPTOP IS ALIVE!!!!!!!

MAN SUI!!!!!!!

Apparently it really was the hard disk that was the problem and not the controller. I'm so relieved, because I can't even do simple stuff without my PC . For example, tying my shoe laces

Ok, that was lame.

And of course without a week of blogging, I feel kinda left out in my lame-ness..

So I will lamerfy this entry...

My new shoes. Nice or not?

I meant to blog about this a long time ago, but what the heck.. Yup!!I got new shoes a few weeks ago. This is quite a special thing because I usually don't buy shoes. Maybe only once a year.

But this running shoe is REALLY nice. Then first time I put it on, I was like :

AAAAAHHHHHH...I'm in heaven!!!

It's so super light. I feel as if 2 rocks that have been tied up to my feet just dropped..

I'm running on air!!

But seriously, with this thing, I can run 10km in less than an hour. But of course that's on the treadmill.

On the other hand, I had a great time yesterday.

First there was the orientation of the A-Levels March intake for HELP. Following the HELP tradition, the March intake always have less people than the January intake.

But, that's ok since March intake focuses on Quality and not Quantity..

Horr Wen Bin and Michelle?

Anyways, got the chance to meet some of the new students and take them around the campus. Their quite nice people..Really!

I also discovered that HELP is becoming more and more popular. Even in this orientation, there were ccompany coming over to set up some stalls to give up free stuff. There were free,

  • Seventeen Magezine (Some girly magazine)
  • Men's Health (What the???)
  • Fitness First
  • Some mobile company
  • And best of all!!! There was free chocolates for everyone !!!

Don't cha wish your college was hot like mine?

Haha..After the orientation, I went to the DSA only to find out that the treasure hunt that I joined had already started!!! And it was supposed to start only at 2.00pm!!!

I was like "WTFish????"

Since we had already paid for the treasure hunt, we might as well join late than to not join at all. So me and Esther took our clues and rushed all the way to HELP's main block.

Ermm, I forgot about most of the questions , but there was this particular question that was a bit Zhar Dou.

Question : *$ . Where is this place?

Can't answer????

Well, the " * " means star. And the " $" means Bucks.

So the answer is "Starbucks"!!

Quite fun eh???

And then there was this section where you had to figure out the clues and run to a shop/place and get your clue-sheet chopped by someone there. We thought that one of the answer was Subway so we proceeded to that restaurant. And then, the moment we entered the shop. There was this Malay Casier waving at us and asked us whether we wanted to get our clue-sheets chopped. We thought it must be correct because she seemed so eager to help us.

But it turns out that the malay casier was not involved in our treasure hunt at all!!!!! She saja want to con us...

Zhar Dou!!!!!!

In the end, we all had a great time running all over college searching for clues!!

Oh ya, I forgot to mention that my group got 2 weeks free entrance to Fitness First for 2 people in the lucky draw after the treasure hunt!!

Yay!!!!

Later that night, I went to Taman Desa to play bball!! *ROARRRRRR* (Hehe, Yih Hon, I copy you a bit arrr). All the time , I kept passing the ball to Juin Kit and Kim Miang. This is because I took my glasses off and could only pass the ball to people who wore green shirts and yellow shirts because these colours looked the most obvious to me without my glasses. Yeahh, I had a great game there.

Looking forward to next weeks game!!!!!

Condolences

My deepest condolences to the Hard disk of my HP laptop and also possibly the controller too. It went through a pretty tough life and suffered from spoiled fan, defective DVD player and also a trojan virus attack. Finally, it couldn't take it anymore and decided to meet its maker (Which is not quite far away actually. The HP factory is just across my college)

Ok, enough of lame-ness.

My Laptop finally konk-ed out! Last friday it gave its last "blue screen of doom" before refusing to start up completely. For this past few months my laptop has already been giving me alot of problems. Sometimes its ok, sometimes it just go crazy. Its like its having a weekly PMS (PC Menstrual Cycle) causing a fluctuation in electrons in its circuit.

What to do? Send for repair lo! Which would cost me a few hundred ringgit . And the thing is, my dads IBM laptop which is practically switched on forever doesn't have a problem for almost 2 whole years. Zero problems! Kosong! Ling!.

So, the moral of the story is DO NOT BUY HP LAPTOPS. The parts they use to build their laptop is of low quality. Well, that's my opinion anyways.

And now, my only thing I can do at home is :

  1. Study (Oh, Joy!),
  2. Catch up with my homework (More Joy!),
  3. And of course, tidy up all my physics notes (This just keeps getting better doesn't it?)
Anyways, I had a great day at college today!! I wish I could post up all the photos but obviously I can't because I have no PC. But if you want to check the pics out, you can go to Michelle Yew's multiply. She said she will post them up soon.

Ok, what a better way to start off the day than to find out that you scored 3rd highest in the class for a bio test that you didn't really prepare for. Yup! You read it correctly! 3rd highest!! That's quite good thing for me considering Bio's my worst subject and I didn't really study for it.

Then later, we found out that we have a new physics practical lecturer!! And he is none other than :

MR PATRICK!! Nope, its not this patrick

Anyways, our new teacher was really CHUN. Running all over the lab to help us set up our circuit. Probably another Ms Lai in the making .

So, as our tribute to our new teacher, we decided to make a blue-tack Patrick (Remember Blue-tack man?) in honour of his debut in HELP

Enjoy,

Where is Patrick's face or his pants you may ask. Well, errrrrrrrrrrrrr, He's lying upside down (Face facing down, butts facing up) so you can't see his face.

And that's Gary, Sponge Bob and Patrick for you!! I'm sure you would have figured out who is who even if I didn't mention it right?

*Gasp* What are these 3 evil geniuses (plus me, because I'm taking the photo) doing?

No Sponge Bob is save from the hands of HELP's A44 Group A Students.

And of course we left our blue tack Sponge Bob and gang in the lab for the next class to admire.

After maths class, me and Shalini rushed up to Ms Lai's table to collect Wen Bin's Birthday cake to surprise him. The plan was that Shalini and I take the cake and bring it to our classroom, light up the candles and surprise him.

Unfortunately, we were the who were surprised.

This is because some people *ahem ahem* didn't distract Wen Bin long enough *ahem ahem*. So, Wen Bin ended up outside our class earlier than his cake. In the end, we asked Wen Bin to go back out and come back in when we lit up the candles.

Everything went well after that. Sang birthday song, had some cake, etc etc. In other words we had a great time.

Went to Mc D's later on and had another round of fun there. Then Wen Bin fetched me home at around 3.30pm.

In conclusion (hehe, sounds like your typical BM Karangan eh??Always ends with "kesimpulannya") , I had a great day in HELP.

I wish everyday will be like today.

And I also wish that my PC and Handphone will be repaired soon.

Till next time!

The Wait

My laptop just when crazy yesterday!!!

I was happily surfing the net when I heard some wierd noise coming out of my hard disk. Then all of the sudden :

The Blue Screen of Doom!!!!

I was like "What the???????"

My Laptop just suddenly went crazy. No warning given. I didn't go like "excuse me, but I think there's something wrong with me so I'm gonna restart now"

Its just like a dog. It poops whenever and wherever it wants to, without any warning.

But fortunately, I managed to get it going again today albeit it being a bit slow. I guess I have to reformat it soon.

On the other hand, I just recieved my A-levels results today instead of friday!!!!

For those who are not so familiar with the Edexcel A-levels system, let me me give some insight. A-levels is split into 2 parts, the As (Advance Subsidary) and the A2 (The second and harder part). And for Edexcel board (Not to be confused with the Cambridge board) the As consists of Units 1,2 and 3. And the A2 consists of unit 4,5 and 6 for each subject. Last term, I took units 1,2,3 and 4 that means I basically took all of my As and a small part of my A2.

Hmmm, I'm kinda bored now and its been a long time since I wrote an essay. So I will ceritakan my experience today in essay form! Its been more than 1 year since I wrote an essay so please excuse my english.

Finally the day arrived. The results was only one hallway away. Feeling nervous, I carefully measured each step I took in the dreaded hallway hoping to prolong the inevitable. But my efforts were futile as slowly but surely, I approached the lecture hall where my fate was to be determined. During this time, I thought back on my performance during the exam. Clearly, I had to go through much stress and worries before sitting for my exam. I looked at everyone beside me and noticed their expressions on their faces. Some had a big frown on their face and were busy calling up their parents to tell them the bad news. Seeing this didn't help me at all as it made me think that I would be one of them if I didn't do well. Oh well, at least I won't be alone, I thought. But then there are those that were much more excited than the rest of us. Most likely, these people had passed their exams with flying colours as they were showing the whole world their wonderful results. I couldn't help but turn green with jealousy.

Then the time came where I finally decided to take a leap of faith and decided to go collect my results hoping for the best. I could see the person in charge of handing out my exam slip. She was only 3 meters away, but to me at that time the distance apart seemed furthur than the distance from KL to Penang. I inhaled as much air as my lungs could take without bursting and put one of my feet in front of the other.

Ok, I was only 4 steps away. At this point the world suddenly stopped spinning. Everything turned silent as if someone had a remote control and muted the world. People around me were talking but no sound came out. The silence was deafening.

3 steps away. My heartbeat rate must have rose from 70 beats per second to a whopping 120 beats in just a few seconds. The excitement and anxiety that was inside me threathened to overwhelm me any second.

2 steps. I began to notice the cold expression the person holding my exam slip gave me. It this frozen look that would have scared any 9 year old kid away. And this couldn't be a good thing, I thought to myself.

1 step. Cold sweat rolled of my forehead and began to roll downs my cheeks and drip on to my already wet shirt due to perspiration. My vision blurred a bit and the whole world seem to spin, causing me to feel nauseous.

There was no turning back now. My future was right in front of me and only a hand reach away. I closed my eyes wishing I did more preparations for my exams now because all the negetive thoughts suddenly just poured down on me. The silly mistakes that I knew I made during my exams now seemed really crucial now. Why didn't I recheck my paper just one more time before handing it up? Why did I mis-interprete the question? Why did I waste so much time on such an easy questions?

Finally, I held my breath and willed my hand to reach out to get my exam slip. My future was in the palms of my hand.

At last, the wait it over!

I opened my eyes and counted my marks and found out that I,

.

.

.

.

.

Averaged out an A for all 4 of my subjects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wooohoooooo!!!!!!!

That includes BIOLOGY (the "best" subject in the world)!!!!

Eventhough I didn't score such a high A for bio, but what the heck? An A is still an A right? Nobody is really bothered how much you score as long as its an A!!!

I scored A in most of my papers except a few but it averaged out an A because I scored quite high for some of my papers . E.g Chemistry unit 3 - 120/120 and Maths 1 - 99/100 and Bio unit 1 - 96/100.

But I still want to resit those subjects that I didn't score too well just to make sure I secure the A.

Later on, me, Wen Bin, Michelle Yew, Wee Bing , Twin (Singular) and also Wei-Ping + Bf (I shall from now on refer them as a single individual because both of them are always together..hehe) decided to go to watch "V for Vandetta" in 1 Utama to celebrate.

The show was GREAT!!!

It had everything. A good plot, good actress, nice action scenes, a bit of romance.. EVERYTHING!!

I give it a 9 out of 10.

Go watch it!!!I highly recommend it.

Feeling Down

I'm feeling down today.

Looking at everything negetively,

Listening to my favourite sad song :

It Might Be You - Stephen Bishop

Time...I've been passing time watching trains go by,
All of my life..
Lying on the sand, watching seabirds fly
Wishing there would be
Someone waiting home for me..

Something's telling me it might be you
It's telling me it might be you..
All of my life

Looking back as lovers go walking past..
All of my life..
Wondering how they met and what makes it last
If I found the place
Would I recognise the face?

Something's telling me it might you
It's telling me it might be you ..
All of my life..

So many quiet walks to take
So many dreams to wake
And we've so much love to make
I think we're gonna need some time
maybe all we need is time
And it's telling me it might be you
All of my life..

I've been saving love songs and lullabies
And there's so much more
No one's ever heard before..

Something's telling me it might be you
It's telling me it might be you...
All of me life..

Maybe it's you (X3)
I've been waiting for all of my life

Don't criticize my taste. It's a very old song. But its really nice. And especially nice when played on a Guitar!!!!!! (you can make a girl for fall you)

If you haven't heard of this song, go do yourself a favour and download it then listen to it so many times that you can hear it ringing in your head all the time or until you start singing the song when you are sleeping

Lots of work to do,

Lots of studying to do,

16 hours of outstanding hours before I complete my scholarship work,

But I feel so lazy...

I need Punani...

Give me 2 ..

Help....

P.S Sorry for the whinny post..

Mar-Cher Outing

Got lots to update today, but I'm so very sleepy now, so please bear with me..

First of all....

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL PEOPLE WHO GOT THEIR SPM RESULTS TODAY!!!!

Regardless of how well or how not-so-well you did in your SPM, you should be proud that you made it this far and be happy with your results!!

And I think this year the best school in the Taman Desa (SMKTD) did really well!!Congrats to everyone!!

Now its my turn to get my A Levels results this friday :

March 17!!!Only 5 days away!!

And while the form 5 people are happily collecting their results, I was stuck in Bio Lab with

21 Pages filled of Bio Goodness In my Biology exam today

And it was BAD!!Didn't really know how to do some of the questions. And I counted the total marks of the paper and ended up with a grand total of 121 marks (That is if I didn't count wrong). Haihh..What can I say? I'm just glad that it is over.

School students are having their holidays

And I'm stuck with Bio Exams

This is Bad...

Then later on, the twins and Wei Ping suddenly decided to go to The Curve to have lunch after class to "Celebrate" the end of our Bio exam. So I ended up going with 5 girls in Marche (Pronounced as Mar - cher) where the twins work durring the weekends..

Hmmm..Doesn't this restaurant logo looks familiar????

When I saw the logo, one song began to sing in my head,

Sheeshhh..Copycat

Sunny Day Sweepin' the clouds away. On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get, How to get to Sesame Street ..

The restaurant is so different compared to all the other restaurant..First of all, it looks more like a supermarket than a restaurant.

Fruits, trees, juices, everything spells supermarket. But in actual fact, it is really a restaurant...

From the left, Michelle, HuiXia, Hui Bing, Shireen, and Wei- Ping

Then, one of the twins ordered something that resembels Malaysian mamak's all time favourite food - Roti Canai.

Actually, its some potato thingy that tastes great!!

And for desert,

Waffles!!!Nice....

As for me, I had pasta that was way to creamy. The gravy consisted of undiltuted cream sauce..And me not knowing it was that creamy when I got it, I added 2 spoons full of cheese because cheese goes with pasta right? But it tasted good anyways..Usually I would be the first among my friends to finish but this time, I had to slowly eat it so that I won't over-cream myself with gravy.

And another thing about this restaurant. You have to go around the restaurant with this card and go to the stall that you want to order food instead of ordering food from a waiter like we usually do. Call me old-fashioned or anything but I think I prefer the waiter to come instead of going around searching for food. Sometimes, its just so confusing because the various types of food is located all over the restaurant (Mind you, this is a restaurant and not a Food court) and its hard to find out where they are.

Anyways, when we finally decided to leave after a great time in Marche, we discovered that our bill came up to a whopping RM 170 !!! For 7 students, thats quite a large sum of money. But luckily we got a 50% discount THANKS TO :

Not these 3 people..haha..

But the Twins!!This is because they work there so they get discount!!

Then later on, the girls decided to go shopping!!! (You guys out there are allowed to groan now). We went walking around looking for sunglasses, watches and stuff like that while I tagged along behind. Then later in Borders bookshop I saw this :

Shitedoku!!!

Here's some trivia for some Sudoku fans out there.

Shitedoku looks like a Chap-Pe-Lang-ed version of Sudoku. At first, I thought so too..But after checking out the internet, I found out that Shitedoku is actually the original one!! Sudoku is adapted from Shitedoku. Kinda surprising eh?

Ok, thats all my eyes can tahan..Gonna sleep now

Till next time!

Finger Art

Just when you thought A44 group A students from HELP couldn't get any more mou-liu. Then,

BAMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

We did it again!!!!

Mou liu-ism (pronounced like organism/taoism etc etc.) is in our blood.

Starring:

(Hehe, I like this picture!!!So many fingers..Mine included...)

It all started when we had our 5 minutes break during chemistry. Our class that day was quite cold so all our fingers were turning blue..Wei Ping (who was sitting in front of me) turned around to show us her fingers ..then,

*TING!!!!!*

The lightbulb in Michelle's little head lit up!!

Finger Art No.1 :

Failed!!!

Finger Art No. 2 :

Tadah!!!What does this look like?????(ya, I know its lame)

A benzene ring!!The topic that our teacher was teaching us that day!! What can I say?We are science students..

Finger Art No. 3 :

Tadah!!!Nice or not?(I prefer this one)

Star!!!

Maybe we should scale-up next time and do this instead :

ONE day..

On the other hand, I had quite a bad day today. First I had to wake up at 8.30am to go to college to help HELP A levels department do some administrative work. The work itself wasn't too bad but it was so repetative and monotonous. And me, barely having 5 hours of sleep so you can imagine how I was.

I haven't come to the worst part yet!!

After finishing the work, I was driving when suddenly I got distracted.. And,

SCRATCH!!!!!!!

Oh no, I accidentally (duh!) scratched the side of my MOM'S car!!!!

Someone please call the ambulance or else I won't be able to go online for a LONG time..

Bummer..

I Was Taught Not To Compare

Our Self-organized class trip to University of Nottingham Malaysia last Saturday was great!!!!!!The campus was really nice!!!!

Well, after looking at their campus, my friends asked me not to compare their campus to ours (HELP UC).

Of course I won't compare them!!!!How can I??? I'm just stating their differences only maa...Where got compare??

First of all, me and my classmates were all surprised to discover that their chairs are actually connected to their tables!!!!!!! Smart move I say...

Tables in Nottingham

Tables in HELP UC

Next up is their bookstore :

Nottingham has their own bookstore, while we can always count on Joy's Daughter (Name Mr Lee gave it) to get our latest books and PYQ.

And then the sports fascilities :

Nottingham people have their own sport complex!!A whole building!!! And we Help-less HELP students have :

Say Hi to our non-existant sports fascilities!!!

Pool and Foosball!!!! But I'm sure we can out-run or out-play them in any sports any day..(yeah right)
Now then, lets proceed to the makan places :

The makan place in Nottingham has a TV (On the left) while HELP has "New Star Trading" makan place!! And the best part is that it is right in the middle of the carpark. Smoke yourself away!!

And last but not least!!! The buses :

Nottingham has their own air-conditioned bus!!

And our dear HELP has their own Army of Kindergardent buses which are forever late because their drivers have extended Tau Huey Breaks!!!!Serious...its really a kindergardent bus..I can't even put my legs properly.

Campus-wise, you can obviously see which is better.

BUT

HELP has so many good lecturers that make our college days so fun and memorable!! Ms Lai made chemistry so interesting to all of us!! And HELP has so many nice people especially in my class..I've made so many good friends eventhough I am only in HELP for 1 year..

And I say thats worth 1 million points!

Guess who's the winner?

Here are some happy moments in our Sememyih Trip :

Hehe...actually, there are other photos where michelle's head isn't cut into half by the camera..But I look best in this photo. Given the choice, I choose me!!..So, Haha..

Hao Wei on the walkie-talkie (Yes!! He actually brought a walkie-talkie). He was giving some instructions to Wee Bing

*reads instructions* Ok!!!ermm...where???

Our trip was great!!! Had Kajang satay afterwards!!!

I can't wait for our Balu-Balu Project!!
